I fell in love with the Chloe sandals from SS10. I would have donated a kidney for it. But then I decided to recreate it. Its not quite done because I HATE D-rings, but I couldn’t find buckles so the rings are a temporary solution.
Materials:

Flip flops w/ foam base & hard sole under foam, $10, target
White canvas fabric, 1 yard @ $5.50/yd
Black vinyl leather, 1 yd on sale @ $3/yd
Orange-brown ostrich pleather .25yd @ $22/yd
Strong glue, E-600 @ $3, Walmart
D-rings, $0.78 for 2 pack, Walmart
Gold buttons (or studs preferably), $0.78, Walmart
Black single fold double wide bias tape, $1.50, Walmart
Procedure:

1) Cut shoe in half where foam meets hard sole. Be careful, knife will be very close to fingers
2) Remove straps
3) Resulting parts will look messy, don’t clean it up. They will fit back together perfectly when glueing back together.

4) Step on 2” on ruler. Measure up to the highest point you want the fabric to wrap around. I did 10”.
5) At that highest point, measure around. Add around 2” so the fabric will be a little loose. I did 13”.

6 (1): Draw rectangle on fabric. Mine is 10”x13”
7 (2): On 10” side, my fabric strip is 3”, so measure 3” to right and draw line. On 13” side my fabric strip is 6” wide, so measure 6” down & draw line & connect to other line.

8) Cut out & trace 3 additional copies. I made 4 total pieces because my fabric was very thin so I doubled it up.

9) Step on 2” & wrap measuring tape like I did. I took the measurement of 14”. This will be the long black leather strip. Double the measurement.
10) Cut the strip. 3” wide by 28” long.

11) Cut the 28” long strip in half. Now you have two 3”x14” strips. One for each shoe.

12) Now measure for the second strip. Step on 2” again. Wrap around like in picture. Measure at the spot that would meet up with the other strip. I measured 7”. Add 2” to get a 9” long strip. Double measurement. My strip is 2” wide.
13) Cut a 2” wide by 18” long strip. Cut in half to get 2 strips, one for each shoe.

14) Step on 2”. Measure across foot and add 2”. Double measurement. My strip is 2” wide.
15) Cut 2” wide by 16” long. Cut in half, one for each shoe.

16) Measure around calf about an 1” below the highest point your fabric goes. Add 3”. My total length is 14.5”. Double measurement.
17) Cut 0.75” by 29” long. Cut in half, one for each shoe.

18) Sew 2 pieces of white canvas fabric together on the inner sides, where marked
19) Wrap bias tape around outer edges of fabrics
20) Cover edges shown
***For the next 3 steps, Look at picture of Chloe shoe for guideline of where to glue.

21) Glue fabric on outer portion of shoe on both sides.
22) Glue LONG black strip on top, at an angle (about 45 degrees) towards the front of the shoe
23) Glue WIDE orange strip about an inch forward towards toes.
24) No picture: Glue SHORT black strip on inner part of shoe.

25) Put glue on part w/ all strips attached (short black one missing in this photo… i remembered a few minutes later hehe)
26) Let dry overnight. Top portion of shoe done.

27) Attach SKINNY orange strip on upper right corner of fabric that wraps around calf.
28) Attach buckle to end (right now, I used ugly D-rings)
29) Attach buckle (ring) to end of LONG black strip.
30) Not pictured: Make the short black strip rounded at the end.
DOOOOOOONNNNNNEEEEE :D
